On Thursday, July 16th, the Super Bowl Host Committee staff and board members met to discuss the latest updates regarding the Super Bowl and the committee's efforts involving the Pro Bowl. Guests in attendance included Chairman Rodney Barreto, Bruce J. Colan, Nicki E. Grossman, William B. Talbert III, Bryan Wiedmeier and many other honorable board members.

Our agenda covered a wide range of tasks the Host Committee has accomplished. Whether it was the communications department's accelerated media relations or the volunteer department's ahead-of-schedule recruiting efforts, the board was impressed at the vast amount of work that has been done in recent months. And there's a lot more to come.

To recap: the Host Committee is still recruiting thousands of volunteers and more are joining our effort every day. The marketing department has done a fantastic job in creating relations with various companies, all of which can be found on the sponsors page on our website. As for the communication department's achievements, the social networking initiative has led to almost 1,000 fans on Facebook, about 200 followers on Twitter and over 300 visitors on this blog.
