Here's our raw footage from the casting call - a little montage of what happened at the event. Volunteers who previously signed up with the Host Committee had the opportunity to try out for the Super Bowl/Pro Bowl commercial that will be shot in a month or so. Check out what it was like to be a part of it all.
Here are some photos taken from the Casting Call. Plenty of people showed up and displayed their passion to be a part of Super Bowl XLIV and the media campaign surrounding it. 
With cameras flashing, film rolling and volunteers performing, the Host Committee hosted a casting call on Monday afternoon that lasted from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Super Bowl and Pro Bowl volunteers had the opportunity to try out for the Host Committee's upcoming media campaign. About 100 volunteers came to Land Shark Stadium to showcase their talent and convince our panel that they were the right choice.
The media coverage was great as various news outlets covered the casting call, including NBC 6 and CBS 4. Reporters emphasized the excitement that is building up towards Super Bowl XLIV and Pro Bowl 2010 with the start of the regular season still more than a month away. Here's the story that NBC 6 aired on their 7 0'clock news cast.
The picture you're looking at may not be very exciting. Truth is, it isn't.
But for the South Florida Super Bowl Host Committee, it's a thing of beauty.
Here's why: Over the past couple of nights here at Dolphin Stadium (also known as Land Shark Stadium for the Dolphins season), we recruited Volunteer Captains. These are the folks who will lead all of our volunteers, thousands of them, through Super Bowl and Pro Bowl Week here in beautiful South Florida. If you're coming here for either game, chances are you'll see their smiling faces. They work hard and love their community.
In all, we were able to recruit more than 200 Volunteer Captains. Thank you to all of our terrific volunteers.
In case you're not up at 7:30 in the morning, we wanted to tell you about the Host Committee appearances on the Paul and Young Ron Radio show the last couple of weeks.
Longtime South Florida broadcaster Tony Segreto has been calling into the show and he's been joined on the air with members of the Host Committee.
Last week, Host Committee Chairman Rodney Barreto hit the airwaves with Tony. This week, it was Tony and former Dolphin great Nat Moore talking Super Bowl and Pro Bowl on the Paul and Young Ron Show.
Some of the topics covered by the two included the need for volunteers, the excitement of the Pro Bowl coming to town and the vast amounts of opportunities that will be available to South Florida residents.
Tony drove home the need for volunteers and how important it is to give back to the community. Nat expressed the excitement building up around the Pro Bowl coming to South Florida for the first time in 35 years and how special it is for the region. Both made it clear that the goal of the Host Committe is to produce the best Super Bowl and Pro Bowl possible so that we can continue to host these events.

Our commitment to the NFL has been to prepare South Florida for the Super Bowl, something few cities have had the opportunity to do, and this is our record tenth Super Bowl. We look forward to meeting those goals set by the NFL and bringing another great Super Bowl to the tropical destination that is South Florida. And when it's all over, we know you will help us make South Florida shine!
All of the Host Committee departments are working in full force to meet the goals set by the NFL and it can't go without saying how passionate the staff and interns have been day in and day out.
The Volunteers Department has continued its efforts to recruit a total of 6,000 to 8,000 volunteers by January - they are ahead of schedule and have secured over 2,500 volunteers already. Those interested in volunteering for the Host Committee can always visit our site and help represent your community.

The Communications Department has been reaching out to local and national media outlets in order to gain exposure and spread the word about Super Bowl XLIV and Pro Bowl 2010. Not to mention, social networking, like this blog, has been a huge platform in updating sports fans about both games.
Our Community Outreach program has been very active in assisting local small minority and women-owned businesses through the NFL Emerging Business Program. This program helps stimulate growth in the local economy as well as promote diversity in the business sector. Other initiatives, like the NFL Youth Education Towns (YETs) and other community-enhancing activities, have been undertaken by the Community Outreach Department in an effort to assist in bettering the community socially, financially and environmentally.
Last but not least, our Marketing Department has been working diligently to create relationships with various companies and media outlets in order to gain the necessary funding to carry out the Host Committee's duties and continue the awareness process on the road to Pro Bowl 2010 and Super Bowl XLIV. Our sponsors continue to grow by the week and we are glad to have a solid group of supporters on our side.
In essence, Super Bowl Sunday may be 200 days away, but here the groundwork started months ago. We want to bring the best Super Bowl possible to South Florida and that can only be done through hard work and commitment each and every day. The clock is ticking and we are making sure every moment counts.
